Welcome!  With the mighty Mississippi River to the north and west and the Rock River flowing through the center, Rock Island County offers a varied landscape ranging from rich Agricultural fields to rolling bluffs.  Part of the Quad-city metropolitan area with Scott County to the West across the Mississippi River. We made it together -- the new I 74 state of the art Mississippi River bridge is completely open with a pedestrian walkway, bike path, and Oculus!  In 2019, the Illinois & Iowa quad-cities broke ground to build a bigger and better I-74 basket handle arched bridge that will connect Moline, Illinois with Bettendorf, Iowa.   With economical housing costs, quality Health care, good quality schools and a wide range of recreational activities and tourist attractions, it's no wonder Rock Island County is home to nearly 144,672 residents and thousands of visitors each year.
