Happy 4th of July!!!!! Big things ahead for 2023-2024!
Enjoy this amazing short story of the Star Spangled Banner..... ![]() Fellow Republicans,
As you may have seen, President Joe Biden recently announced his re-election campaign through a digital ad. However, no amount of takes, cuts, edits, or sound effects can erase his administration's disastrous record over the last four years. The President's re-election announcement further highlights his out-of-touch approach to governing. In the 2024 Presidential Election, voters will have a choice between two paths for America: a bright future filled with safety, security, and economic prosperity for all Americans, or more of the same from Joe Biden and the Democratic Party. In contrast, House Republicans are working to end the era of reckless Washington spending and put money back into our families. Speaker Kevin McCarthy and our House Republican Majority have proposed and passed reasonable, responsible, and sensible solutions to lift the debt ceiling, delivering once again for the American people. The Limit, Save, Grow Act preserves the integrity of our nation, and we urge President Biden to come to the negotiating table and work with Republicans to restore fiscal sanity. Will the President do his job and work for the American people, rather than his special interests? The nation is watching. Next week, on Tuesday, May 2nd, please join us as we welcome House Majority Whip Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-6) and receive the latest updates from the National Republican Congressional Committee. Illinois Republicans will play a critical role in flipping a congressional seat from blue to red, reinforcing our House Republican Majority. Our Democrat Congressmen are nothing more than rubber stamp votes for Biden, and their failed liberal policies are hurting our state and country. Thank you to all who helped spread the word about our internship program among college students. We are thrilled to see so many young people eager to support the Republican cause, and we are committed to expanding these efforts through our Build the Bench Committee, led by State Central Committeeman Aaron Del Mar. We encourage you to continue promoting this opportunity as we work to counter the socialist influence on our youth. For additional details about the internship, please click on the image below. A big shout-out to State Central Committeeman Aaron Del Mar and Champaign County Chairman Jim McGuire for organizing a fantastic social event for Young Republicans, together with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College Republicans. It was great to see so many enthusiastic young people come together to support our party and engage with one another. Thank you for your leadership and dedication to growing our party. Save the date for the Statewide Election Integrity Summit. In addition to inadequate platforms at home, his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan projected weakness abroad. Families are hurting under Biden’s America as real wages have fallen every month since Biden and Democrats passed their wasteful and inflationary stimulus, and under Biden’s leadership, all 50 states have recorded their highest average gas prices ever,” said Illinois Republican Party Chairman Don Tracy. “The simple question every voter across the country should be asking themselves right now is: are you safer, more secure, and more prosperous than you were four years ago? The simple answer is no,” added Chairman Don Tracy. ILGOP Statement on Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s Decision Not to Seek Re-Election “It’s clear that Kim Foxx sees the writing on the wall and is not seeking re-election because she failed in every aspect as State’s Attorney. Cook County residents are sick and tired of watching her abdicate her basic responsibility to simply enforce the laws on the books and keep violent criminals off the streets,” said Illinois Republican Party Chairman Don Tracy. “There’s one thing that Republicans, Democrats and Independent voters can all agree on – her last day can’t come soon enough,” added Chairman Tracy. This week I attended the Spring Meeting of the 168 Members of the Republican National Committee (RNC) in Oklahoma City. The number 168 has special significance in Oklahoma City due to the 168 killed in the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995 at 9:02 a.m. After our meeting concluded yesterday, I toured the National Memorial built on the bombing site with Alex Plechash, a RNC Committeeman from Minnesota. Alex is a former Marine fighter pilot and volunteer fireman. The Memorial is extremely well done and very emotional, especially the outside steel chairs representing each of the 168 killed in the bombing including 19 children. At the RNC meeting, we covered delegate plan and deadlines for the 2024 Convention, election integrity strategies and litigation, and legal ballot harvesting in California. California Republicans lost half of their congressional delegation - 7 out of 14 - over a couple of election cycles, before they figured out how to do their own legal ballot harvesting. We also discussed the new RNC website called FactCheckBiden.com, the importance of winning over independents now that they constitute 42% of the national electorate vs. 33% when Reagan was elected, and post-election analysis. The latter included discussion about how and why Democrats have so much more money than Republicans. Last Fall, Democrats significantly outspent Republicans in 50 of the 65 top contested US House seats. The week before the RNC Meeting, the RNC Chair, Ronna McDaniel, gave a speech at the Reagan Presidential Library, which I listened to Wednesday morning before our meeting started. As I was listening to Ronna’s speech during my workout, I suddenly noticed that Ronna was running on the treadmill next to me. We had some fun with that small world experience. We frequently hear that this Memo is not as widely distributed as it should be. Please help us in that regard by forwarding it to your family and friends. The event featured Morgan Ortagus, Founder of Polaris and former spokesperson for the United States Department of State, who delivered an informative and insightful panel on America's Foreign Policy. She also criticized many of America's "leaders" who want to transform our nation from a superpower into a welfare state. Thank you for hosting such a valuable event. Good Morning, We have reached the end of a challenging year. We had a difficult election cycle and a few stressful moments in our Party. I hope all of us will spend the rest of this year with family, decompressing, relaxing, eating, drinking and being Merry; relaxing and binge watching your favorite shows and taking in a few football games! This new year will bring new challenges and new opportunities. We will be going in full swing into a new Election season. This is an election cycle that we normally have no candidates for. This year, we have Candidates for School Board! They will need our help! We want to make sure we get out candidates elected to the various school boards. So, please reach out to volunteer. As we enter this New Year, please enter it with a prayer of unity, healing and salvation. We need to all be praying at midnight of the 31st, that God helps us navigate through 2023 starting on day 1 as the new "No Bail" law goes into effect. Ending on a good note, We are already in fundraising mode. SAVE THE DATE!!!!! February 25th is our 2023 Lincoln Day Dinner. More details to come!
