Chairman - Drue Mielke Drue Mielke was elected to his second term of Chairman in April 2020. He was elected to First Vice Chairman in April 2017. Drue is a life long resident of Coal Valley, a fourth-generation Coal Valleyan, who has a strong commitment and love for this area. He is also a Rico County Board District 22 member.
First Vice Chairman - Sharon (Sheri) Diekman Sheri Diekman was elected to First Vice Chairman of the Rock Island County Republicans on April 2020. Sheri has lived the majority of her life in East Moline and currently resides there with her husband Jim. She and Jim have two sons, four granddaughters, and one great granddaughter. She loves being active in the Republican Party and has served as a Precinct Committeeman since 2008 and has been Vice President of the Republican Women of Rock Island County. Her other interests outside the party include playing bridge, traveling, playing the piano, reading, and cooking.
Second Vice Chairman - Dennis English Dennis was elected Second Vice Chairman of the Rock Island County Republican Central Committee in April 2020. He has been a precinct committeeman since 2012, and for a time served on the Coal Valley Planning & Zoning Board. He lived in several places before moving from Cedar Rapids, IA to Rock Island in 1966. In 1977 he moved to Coal Valley, and has lived there since. He and his wife Karen have been married almost 32 years. Dennis is a manufacturing engineer and retired from John Deere Davenport Works. He held positions as a supervisor, production, and quality engineer. He is a veteran having served 4 years in the US Navy. He’s been a union member and has experience as steward. His hobbies are flying, motorcycle touring, and once played trombone with many area bands. He loves yard work, tinkering, and repairing things. He wants to help the Republican Party elect more common sense people to elected positions who are also fiscal conservatives with taxpayer money.
Secretary - Nancy DeVriese Nancy DeVriese was elected as to her 2nd term Secretary of the Rock Island County Republicans on April 2020. Nancy was born and raised in Moline, Illinois and currently resides in East Moline with her husband, Kevin. Nancy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She passed her CPA exam in Illinois and began her accounting career with Arthur Andersen in Houston, Texas but returned to the Quad Cities to work at McGladrey & Pullen as a Manager in the audit division. Currently, she is the Controller at RiverStone Group, Inc. in Moline. She and her husband raised two children who have both graduated from college and lead successful careers outside of the Quad Cities. In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, and traveling. Treasurer - Jeff McKinley Jeff McKinley was elected to a second term as Rock Island County Republican Treasurer on April 2020.
