Illinois Elected officials![]() Welcome! With the mighty Mississippi River to the north and west and the Rock River flowing through the center, Rock Island County offers a varied landscape ranging from rich agricultural fields to rolling bluffs. Part of the Quad-city metropolitan area with Scott County to the West across the Mississippi River. We made it together -- the new I 74 state of the art Mississippi River bridge is completely open with a pedestrian walkway, bike path, and Oculus! In 2019, the Illinois & Iowa quad-cities broke ground to build a bigger and better I-74 basket handle arched bridge that will connect Moline, Illinois with Bettendorf, Iowa. With economical housing costs, quality health care, good schools and a wide range of recreational activities and tourist attractions, it's no wonder Rock Island County is home to nearly 144,672 residents and thousands of visitors each year.

J. Robert Westpfahl Precinct Committeeman, Bowling 1 County Board Meetings held every third Tuesday, of the month at 5:30 pm at 1504 3rd Avenue, Rock Island. Open to the public.
Our leaders attempt to blame their failures on circumstances beyond their control, on false estimates by unknown, unidentifiable experts who rewrite modern history in an attempt to convince us our high standard of living, the result of thrift and hard work, is somehow selfish extravagance which we must renounce as we join in sharing scarcity. I don't agree that our nation must resign itself to inevitable decline, yielding its proud position to other hands. I am totally unwilling to see this country fail in its obligation to itself and to the other free peoples of the world." Ronald Reagan
